Final, week 8: Meat Missiles 13, Bandidos 11.
The Meat Missiles put on an offensive clinic Wednesday night at home, outlasting the Bandidos 13-11 in a game that was never really in doubt until it briefly was. Phoenix slow-pitch will do that to you. The Missiles erupted out of the gate with a massive first inning, plating multiple runs on the strength of a Newgie double, a Diesel two-run double, and a Go Birds RBI single, setting the tone early and often. The second inning kept the foot on the gas, with Vaca tripling in a run, Newg Jr. doubling, and Newgie adding yet another RBI double to pad the lead. Diesel punctuated the first half of the game with a solo shot in the third that felt more like a victory lap than a plate appearance. The Bandidos did not go quietly. A fifth-inning rally that included a walk, two singles, and a two-run double made things temporarily interesting, but the Missiles had built enough of a cushion to absorb the noise. A timely double play in that same fifth inning helped slam the door and preserve the win. When the dust settled, the Meat Missiles walked away at home with a 13-11 victory, a healthy RBI column, and full bragging rights heading into the back half of the season.

Final, week 8: Meat Missiles 13, Rose 2.
The Meat Missiles turned Week 8 into a statement game, rolling over the Rose 13-2 at home and making it look like a foregone conclusion by the end of the second inning. Phoenix had control from the jump, with Vaca turning a double play in the bottom of the first to slam the door on any early Rose momentum, and the offense answered right back with a five-run first that set the tone immediately. Newgie tripled home a run, Newg Jr. extended the lead, and Tub capped the inning with an RBI single. The Rose never had a chance to breathe. The second inning was where this one became a full-blown rout. Coley D put on a clinic, collecting two separate RBI singles in the frame and finishing the night a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI total. Newg Jr. doubled home two, Newgie added a two-run double of his own, and the Missiles batted through the order like they owned the place, which, at home, they do. By the time AP Friend and Hop got in on the fun, the Rose deficit had ballooned well beyond repair. A tidy double play in the bottom of the third closed things out with style, and Hop added a two-RBI single and Coley D doubled home another for good measure. Clean, clinical, and convincing.

Final, week 8: Meat Missiles 15, New Era 4.
The Meat Missiles turned Week 8 into a statement game, rolling over the New Era 15-4 in what was essentially a controlled demolition from the first pitch. New Era tried to make a little noise in the top of the first, scratching across a pair of runs on an error and another two on a sac fly, but the Missiles answered with the kind of bottom-half inning that makes opposing pitchers reconsider their life choices. Cole Newgaard, aka Newg Jr., set the tone immediately with a solo shot to lead off the bottom of the first, and from there the lineup just kept cycling. By the time the dust settled on the first inning alone, the Missiles had batted through the order and built a lead that New Era never sniffed again.
