Who We Are

The Story

Part softball team, part friend group, part traveling roadshow. Here is what the Meat Missiles are actually about.

We come in hot.

We are the Meat Missiles, a men's slow-pitch team out of Phoenix, AZ. We are not here to reinvent the sport. We are here to crack a cold one, take some hacks, and occasionally do something on a softball field worth filming. The setup is simple: a group of friends, a Sunday league, a cooler that gets lighter as the night gets better, and a competitive streak that shows up right around the third inning.

The name says the rest. When the Meat Missiles connect, the ball goes up, the beer goes down, and somewhere a scorekeeper sighs. We play in the Phoenix Men's D, Papago (Thursdays), out of Papago Softball Complex, Phoenix AZ, and we are building this brand to capture all of it: the highlights, the lowlights, and everything between the lines and the tailgate. Strap in. We come in hot.

01

Friends First

The roster is built on people we actually want in the dugout. Talent is a bonus, showing up is mandatory.

02

Semi-Competitive

We keep score, we want the win, and we will absolutely run the bases hard. We also know it is a rec league on a weeknight.

03

Classy, Not Frat-y

Beer is part of the brand. So is picking up after ourselves, shaking hands at the plate, and tipping the umpire a thank you.

The Gameday Ritual

  1. 01

    Meet At Lou's

The night starts at Lou's. Warmups are mostly liquid, the lineup gets argued over a napkin, and team confidence peaks before anyone has thrown a pitch.

  2. 02

    Roll To The Park

Most weeks it is Papago, Field 4. No outside drinks past the gate, so the cooler stays home and the concession stand gets our full business.

  3. 03

    First Pitch

One and one count, bats hot, and a defensive alignment that is more suggestion than science. We keep score and we keep it light.

  4. 04

    Postgame

Win or lose, we recap the night the Metas already caught. The Player of the Game drinks free, and the loser of any side bet pays up.
